Cannon Williamson has become a proud member of the Association of Payroll Bureau Managers.

The Association was founded in 2023 by Barry Matthews, who devoted over 20 years to the payroll profession, covering technical, marketing, and software aspects.

'It's the outdated, misguided belief that processing payroll is somehow straightforward or easy. I have made it my mission to dismantle the corrosive notion of 'easy payroll' and work with payrollers, particularly those working in a bureau environment, to reconstruct perceptions of payroll as a profession and a service to business. The purpose of the Association of Payroll Bureau Managers is to create a collaborative community where members can share knowledge, insights, and resources to elevate the quality of payroll bureau services across the industry', Barry Matthews said.

Cannon Williamson has been providing outsourced payroll and pension services to small, medium and large enterprises for over 20 years.

Tom Williamson, Practice Principal said, “I am proud to say we are providing outsourced payroll services handled with in-house care and compliance. Payroll processes and legislation have evolved enormously during the last decade and paying staff has become a highly demanding task that requires knowledgeable and skilled professionals. We are a proud member of the Association of Payroll Bureau Managers as our main aim is to provide extensive professional services to our clients and their staff”.

The Payroll department successfully handles the pay and compliance for multiple industries, including agriculture, care, construction, education, manufacturing and production, hospitality and leisure, retail and global payroll.

During the last few years, employers were challenged by unprecedented employment law changes, and as outsourced payroll professionals we took the strain from them, ensuring they remain compliant, and their staff are paid accurately, securely, on time and each time.
This requires us to keep on top of ongoing legal requirements and specific changes for every industry; to implement changes swiftly and reinforce new practices from scratch.

The Association of Payroll Bureau Managers provides a great environment of like-minded people, that are well aware of all challenges related to providing comprehensive and valuable services to multiple clients, industries, and employees.

Becoming a member of the Association of Payroll Bureau Managers is a purposeful event for us, because we are keen to maintain the best of knowledge and practices, and tailor it against our clients' needs.”, Anelia Petkova, Payroll Professional, said.
